Jeudi 13 décembre 2018

FHU NeuroPsyNov is pleased to be part and to support the proposal STEP, submitted under RHU2018 call for financing.

Coordinated by Antoine Depaulis (Grenoble Institut des Neurosciences), STEP (Synchrotron Therapy for Epilepsy) involves teams from INSERM, Hospital and University of Grenoble-Alpes, European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF), INRA (Rennes) and Symetrie (Nîmes), an innovative french SME.

STEP is a translationnal research project, aiming to open a new therapeutic area based on radiosurgery, relying on synchrotron-generated microbeam irradiation.

His primary objective is to perform a proof of concept with a First-in-man clinical trial in patients with refractory mesio-temporal lobe epilepsy to demonstrate that synchrotron-generated microbeam irradiation can be used safely as an innovative and non-invasive radiosurgery approach of brain diseases.
